This stream is employer-driven and aimed at overseas workers and graduates. Employers in Nova Scotia who are not in a position to fill the job vacancies with Citizens or PR status holders in Canada can access the Skilled Worker after obtaining an affirmative LMIA – Labor Market Impact Assessment.
The Occupations in Demand Pilot of Nova Scotia is aimed at highly demanded intermediate-skilled jobs in the province. It was originally aimed at Transport Truck Drivers, Patient Service Associates, Orderlies, and Nurses. The targeted occupations are variable based on the demands of the labor market. The stream categorically targets jobs classified as NOC C level under National Occupational Classification.

Requirements
The Physician category of Nova Scotia assists the Public Health System in the province to appoint Specialist Physicians, Family Physicians, and General Practitioners. It has been designed in assisting recruitment and retaining Doctors for the vacancies the province is incapable of filling with a Permanent Resident or Citizen in Canada.
Requirements
Approved and written opportunity with the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre or NSHA – Nova Scotia Health Authority as a NOC 3111 – Specialist physician or NOC 3112 family physician and General practitioner.
The authorized job offer must be on the official letterhead of the IWK or NSHA and needs to be:
A copy of ECA – Education Credential Assessment or evidence of education and medical training needed for Nova Scotia’s licensure.
The ability for performing the job in one of the official languages of Canada is demonstrated by the job offer from the IWK or NSHA.
The Entrepreneur category of Nova Scotia is aimed at candidates having senior management experience or business ownership. They must reside in Nova Scotia, buy an existing business or start a new business, and participate actively in the everyday supervision of that business.
Candidates are initially provided a Provisional Work Visa under the Entrepreneur stream and they can apply for Permanent Residence after operating the business for 1 year. By using a format of EOI – Expression of Interest the stream invites the candidates from a pool for applying.
