Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program operates in collaboration with the Federal Government of Canada and the 4 Provinces in the Atlantic Canada region:
An employer-driven program, Atlantic Immigration Pilot expedites the immigration of skilled overseas workers to the region. All primary applicants arriving in Canada through the AIPP are required to have an offer of a job from a nominated employer. They are also required to possess a Plan of Settlement for themselves and their members of the family.
The designated employer firstly should offer a job after identifying the candidate who fulfills the program criteria and their employment needs. AIPP does not require the employers to undergo the procedure of obtaining the LMIA – Labor Market Impact Assessment.
After the candidate accepts the job offer, the employer then connects the candidate with a nominated service provider organization for settlement for assessing the needs and developing a Plan of Settlement. The long-term assimilation of the newly arrived immigrant and family members if applicable will also be supported by the employer. This is to ensure that the immigrant fulfills the objectives of the settlement plan upon arrival to Canada.
Employers that require to quickly fill a job opening will have access to the Provisional Work Visa to enable the arrival of the immigrant and family members to Canada at the earliest. The candidates who wish to get this Work Visa will require:

Candidates interested in immigration to Canada through any of the three pathways under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program need a Plan of Settlement upon receipt of the job offer. The plan has been designed to help them in settling in Canada by emphasizing specific resources for the needs of the candidates and their families. You will also be informed regarding assistance points in the community whom you can contact.
Candidates endorse the Plan of Settlement with a Service Provider for Settlement available both overseas and inside Canada. The employer can guide the candidate regarding the organization to be chosen.
During the assessment of needs, the organization will enquire about the candidate and their family members. This can be done over the telephone, in person, or online. The candidate will then be offered the personalized Plan of Settlement by the organization.
Every job offer made through the AIPP needs endorsement from the province. The endorsement application is managed by the employer once the candidate receives the Settlement Plan.
Candidates must not apply for Canada PR Visa till they obtain the Endorsement Certificate. This needs to be furnished along with the application.
